Washington Surveying and Rating Bureau (WSRB) recently completed its 5-year evaluation of fire protection capabilities for Skagit County Fire District #3. We are pleased to announce that SCFD #3 improved its Protection Classification (PC) from a PC 6 to PC 5, which becomes effective February 1, 2023.

This new PC 5 rating will apply to dwellings and commercial properties located within five road miles of either of SCFD #3’s fire stations that also have standard fire hydrant distribution and water supply.

We recommend residents contact your insurance agents to determine the potential savings this new rating may have on your insurance premiums.

SCFD #3 is also undergoing evaluation for a Mobile Water Supply Credit. Currently, we hold a WSRB Tender Credit which results in a PC 9. If we receive the Mobile Water Supply Credit this would result in a lower PC rating where hydrants are not currently located.

This is just one of the many ways that SCFD #3 is constantly striving to offer the best possible fire protection with our all-volunteer core.

Skagit County Fire Protection District #3 has designated a compliance officer for website disability-related accommodations.
