Skagit County Fire District 3 was founded in 1945, with the opening of station one in Conway. The addition of the Cedardale station in 1953 began the partnership of the two stations. The District’s Firefighters/EMTs are 24/7 response volunteers, serving the citizens of the community.
Skagit County Fire District 3 covers 41 square miles, from Mount Vernon City limits south to the Snohomish County line and from Skagit Bay on Fir Island East to almost Lake McMurray. We respond to more than 400 emergency calls annually. We have approximately 50 men and women who dedicate their time to help the community. Our firefighters and EMTs train weekly on Monday night. These training drills cover fires of all types – from medical emergencies to motor vehicle accidents, as well as maintaining our equipment and stations.
Skagit County Fire Protection District #3 is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Skagit County Fire Protection District #3
